Horseshoes and Handprints

Horseshoes and Handprints is an Ilminster based charity that was set up to assist children with Special Needs through horse based therapy. Although originally developed for families living with children on the Autistic spectrum it has been found that a variety of disorders also respond well.

The charity relies on a number of staff and volunteers who provide sensory therapy through close contact with horses, including riding them.  The Gooch Trust were approached by Horseshoes and Handprints to provide funding for one years worth of weekly 2 hour sessions for families in Ilminster and the immediate locality.

The Gooch Trust were delighted to be able to support this charity on an on going basis until 2017 when the charity changed their remit.
