Ilminster Football Club

The Gooch Trust were contacted by Ilminster Football Club with an application to support them in their efforts to replace their tired changing rooms with a new, multi functional facility.  It was their hope to build a new pavilion which would comprise of four changing rooms, a clubroom and bar, kitchen, parking area and spectator facilities.

The Gooch Trust were delighted to support the football club with their largest grant to date.  This project was particularly close to the hearts of The Gooch Trust as football played such a huge part in the life of the Founder of the trust, Archie Gooch.

The new facilities were declared open in July 2016 and have been named The Archie Gooch Pavilion which is a great honour. Since it's opening, the pavilion has been used by many different groups within the local community and have proved a real asset to the people of Ilminster.
